The sherried 40 Year Old is their oldest to date and it has been made by one of Scotland’s most treasured distilleries. Although we’re not allowed to tell you exactly who, many of you will know that there are only a handful of Speyside distilleries it could have come from at this age.
Only 350 individually numbered decanters of John Crabbie & Co 40 Year Old were made. The elixir within is rich with notes of treacle, golden syrup, honey, clotted cream, orange peel, wood spice, dark chocolate, boiled sweets, bruised red apples and lemon drizzle cake. Complex, smooth and really rather sophisticated.
Nose: Sweet molasses, summer fruits and coconut
Palate: Subtle treacle and rich cocoa
Finish: Roasted marshmallows, creamy caramel and more summer fruits
