Single Malt Whisky is the product of a single distillery, made from the simple ingredients of cereals, water and yeast. The spirit is then aged in oak casks for a number of years.
Scotland is the country most famously known for producing some of the world's finest Single Malt Scotch Whiskies, many with an age statement that explains how many years the spirit has been matured in oak casks.
However, Single Malt Whisky and Whiskey is produced all over the world and we have some great examples from Ireland, Japan, America, Australia and India.
